Fleet Foxes - Grown Ocean

Iceland Airwaves proudly presents Fleet Foxes in Eldborg, Harpa. A unique opportunity to experience one of the most important band to emerge out of the US in recent years.

Fleet Foxes will perform twice at Iceland Airwaves 2017 on Friday the 3rd and Saturday the 4th of November. The first show is open to anyone to buy tickets. The second show is only for Iceland Airwaves wristband holders. Tickets will be handed out to wristband holders on a “first come – first served” basis. Ticket handout takes place at Harpa from 2 pm on Saturday the 4th of November.

Fleet Foxes are acclaimed indie band from Seattle with an earthy, harmony-rich sound influenced by American country-rock and British folk-rock. The band is led by vocalist/guitarist Robin Pecknold. Other members are Skyler Skjelset, Casey Wescott, Christian Wargo and Morgan Henderson.

The band came to prominence in 2008 with the release of its second EP, Sun Giant, and its first, self-titled album Fleet Foxes. Both received much critical praise and reviewers often noted the band’s use of refined lyrics and vocal harmonies. Fleet Foxes’ second studio album, Helplessness Blues, was released in 2011. Upon release, the album received universal acclaim from critics and was nominated for Best Folk Album for the 54th Grammy Awards.
