The Festival of the Sea will be celebrated at Harpa 4-5 June. Free entry and everybody is welcome to Harpa.
Saturday 4th June
12.00-14:00 A delicious fishsoup at a festive price at Smurstöðin.
12:30-14:00 Accordion noon in Harpa – Reynir Jónasson plays tunes related to the sea.
13:30-17:00 Reykjavik Sailors ferry festival guests onboard Gullfoss across from Harpa to Víkin Maritime Museum and back again.
14:00-16:00 Origami Iceland folds figures related to the sea.
14:30 Harmóníur sing songs related to the sea.
15:30 Harmóníur sing songs related to the sea.
Sunday 5th June
12:30 Píla Pína the lady mouse sings and greets the kids at Harpa. Maximus Musicus the music mouse gives toy windmills and balloons.
13:00 A parade sets off from Harpa to Grandi, accompanied by Austurbær School Band, led by the scouts. The two mice, Maximus Musicus and Píla Pína walk along.
15:00 Jón Víðis the magician performs
20:00-22:00 Seaman‘s Ball in Eyri with a harbour view, accompanied by members of the Reykjavik Accordion Society. Adults and children are welcome.
