Today, Friday 27 of September, the artwork by Hrund Atladóttir will take over Harpa’s glass facade. The artwork is the end of an art series held in connection with the International Climate Strike, that took place all over the world on 20-27. September 2019. The image above of the polar bear is from another work by Hrund, which was on Harpa’s facade one week ago.
Hrund Atladóttir graduated from the Video Department of Gerrit Rietveld Academie in the Netherlands in 2008 and took a semester in Animation at Seika University in Kyoto, Japan. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Iceland and around the world. She lived for five years in New York where she worked in art and animation but has been in Iceland since 2014.
