Sónar Reykjavík has confirmed first artists for the festival program, taking place throughout four stages of one of Europe’s most unique concert venues, Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre in downtown Reykjavik, February 16.-18.
Following his epic show at Sónar Barcelona this summer Fatboy Slim will be headlining the festival’s closing night at the SonarClub (Silfurberg) stage. Other international headline acts announced are electronic live show maestros Moderat and hip hop legends De La Soul, both presenting their recent albums, who will be joined by Ben Klock, Forest Swords, Tommy Genesis, Helena Hauff and BBC radio host presenter DJ B.Straits and more to be confirmed.
From the vibrant local scene, Sonar Reykjavik will stage three leading talents from the Iceland’s mounting hip-hop scene Emmsjé Gauti, Aron Can and Kött Grá Pje, acclaimed electro-indie- pop band FM Belfast, Samaris, Sin Fang, Glowie, Øfjord and SxSxSx.
