SOLOISTS Winners of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and Iceland University of the Arts soloists’ competition
The future of musical life in Iceland rests on the shoulders of the young instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers who are growing to maturity today. It is always cause for anticipation when outstanding young performers take the stage with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and reap the rewards of their tireless efforts. The concert hall fills with family members and friends who have followed these young music students through the years, and the audience’s response is never more enthusiastic and sincere than at this marvellous concert in Eldborg hall. The soloists are selected in a competition sponsored by the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Iceland University of the Arts in November 2020. The programme will be announced on the orchestra’s website as soon as the contest results are in.
Students under age 25 and music students can buy tickets at 1,800 kr. upon presentation of an Iceland Symphony Student Card at the Harpa Ticket Office. Read more here.
Further information on the concert can be found on the Iceland Symphony Orchestra website.
