Páll Óskar and the Iceland Symphony on RÚV

This event has passed

The Iceland Symphony Orchestra has returned to making music in the Harpa Concert Hall, and its concerts in May and June 2020 will be broadcast live on Icelandic television (RÚV) as well as streamed on the orchestra’s website (sinfonia.is). For this concert, the Icelandic pop legend Páll Óskar performs some of his favorite selections live with the orchestra.

Páll Óskar has been among Icelandic pop’s most celebrated performers for decades, and his wide appeal spans all generations. He performed with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in a legendary series of sold-out concerts in 2010 and 2011, and now returns to Harpa to perform with the orchestra once again.

Bjarni Frímann Bjarnason is Assistant Conductor of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and has conducted many of its concerts in recent years to great acclaim. He was voted Performer of the Year at the 2019 Icelandic Music Awards.

Watch the Iceland Symphony Orchestra live from the orchestra’s website, www.sinfonia.is, the orchestra’s Facebook page, and on RÚV (Icelandic TV), Thursday May 28 at 8 PM.
