The Young People at Dark Music Days

The Young People at Dark Music Days are concerts that show the future of compositions in the Nordic countries, performed by young European musicians. Premieres of new works by Fredrik Ekenvi, Oskar Lidström and Robin Lilja, who all are Master students at Luleå Tekniska Universitet in Piteå, Sweden, followed by premiere of a new version of “Árnar renna” by Elín Gunnlaugsdóttir. A chamber orchestra of young musicians from Conservatorio di “Santa Cecilia” in Rome and Kópavogur Music School, will be directed by Simon Percic and Andrew Hermon; Master students of conducting, also from Piteå.

The concert is sponsored by the Swedish-Icelandic Cooperation Fund, the Letterstedtska Fund, Tónlistarsjóður fund and Erasmus+.
