About The Music Academy 

The Music Academy is a not-for-profit community school of music dedicated to providing high quality, affordable instruction and performance opportunities to academy students, regardless of age or ability. Twenty-two artist faculty members serve approximately 1500 students from age 6 months to 80 years of age.  It is the mission of The Music Academy to inspire in students a life-long love of music and the arts and to help student reach their full musical and personal potential.  Since our founding in 1985, we have been committed to on-going educational collaborations within our community.  We operate out of our downtown Rockford, Illinois campus as well as in eight community partner locations including City of Rockford Head Start locations, Ryan Jury Early Learning Center and Montessori Private Academy.
