Gretel Ehrlich (US) is the author of 15 books, including the award-winning, Solace Of Open Spaces, This Cold Heaven, Seven Seasons In Greenland, and most recently, Facing The Wave, winner of the PEN USA Nonfiction Award.
Karl Ove Knausgaard’s (NO) epic six-part autobiographical novel My Struggle blows the boundaries between nonfiction and fiction and has been hailed by the critics as the most important literary work of the 21st century to date.
Aisha Sabatini Sloan (US) is the author of the critically acclaimed memoir, The Fluency of Light: Coming of Age in a Theater of Black and White and the upcoming essay collection, Dreaming of Ramadi in Detroit.
Wayne Koestenbaum (US) is the author of National Book Critics Circle Award-nominated The Queen’s Throat: Opera, Homosexuality, and the Mystery of Desire as well as several collections of poetry.
NonfictioNOW is a biennial gathering of nonfiction writers, teachers, readers and students, highlighting the myriad forms of nonfiction. Founded in the US in 2005, this is the first time that the conference takes place in Europe.
