Múlinn Jazz Club – Einar Scheving Quartet

Mi Casa, Su Casa – an Album-Launch Concert with the Einar Scheving Quartet

The opening concert for Múlinn Jazz Club in 2020 is an album-launch concert with the Einar Scheving Quartet, one of Iceland’s foremost jazz groups. The album, Mi Casa, Su Casa, is the band’s third album. The award-winning quartet comprises some of Iceland’s finest musicians, Einar Scheving on drums, Skúli Sverrisson on bass,  Eyþór Gunnarsson on piano, and Óskar Guðjónsson on tenor saxophone.

Múlinn’s program is ambitious, diverse and a good example of the liveliness that characterizes the Icelandic jazz scene. Visitors can listen to top quality jazz at a reasonable price with a great view over the harbor. Múlinn is a cooperation between Félags Íslenskra Hljómlistarmanna (FÍH) and Jazzvakningar. The club is named after Jón Múli Árnason who was also an honorary member and patron of Múlinn. Múlinn was founded in the fall 1997 but the first concert took place in the beginning of 1998. Múlinn is funded by The City of Reykjavík and The Iceland Music Fund and is in collaboration with The World Music Club and Harpa.

Tickets are 3000 ISK

Organizers of Múlinn are Ólafur Jónsson and Haukur Gröndal.
