Young up-and-coming jazz vocalists Rebekka Blöndal and Marína Ósk come together on stage for the first time, bringing a program inspired by the legendary album “The Carmen McRae-Betty Carter Duets”. On the album McRae and Carter perform as a duet a variety of known and lesser known jazz standards, trade scat solos and skillfully connect the more serious notes to the humorous ones. Rebekka and Marína will perform songs from the album as well as songs from McRae’s and Carter’s repertoire and explore the field of collaborative jazz singing. Amongst chosen songs are Stolen Moments, Sometimes I’m Happy and What A Little Moonlight Can Do.
