Harpa Guided Tours

Experience the award winning architecture of Harpa and visit areas that are not open to the general public. Your guide will share some of Harpa’s secrets, stories of odd incidents and the struggles during the economic crisis. Learn how Icelandic nature, volcanoes and the Arctic light inspired the unique design and the amazing glass facade of the house – and be able to photograph it from new intriguing angles; allowing you to explore the less visible brilliance of this world renowned architectural masterpiece.

DAILY GUIDED TOURS

  • Length: 30 minutes
  • Price: 1.500 ISK per person / 1.250 ISK for stundents, seniors, people with disability and groups over 10 people
  • Free for children under 16 years old
  • Maximum group size: 35 participants

Daily at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00.

From August 26th – June 18th 
Weekdays at 13:00, 15:30* and 16:30 / Weekends at 13:00 and 15:30

GUIDED TOURS FOR PRIVATE GROUPS
Get the extreme version of the general guided tour, customized for special interests, for requested time and get to even more hidden areas in Harpa.

  • Length: Approx 45 – 60 minutes (or length upon request)
  • 25.000 ISK fixed price for a group up to 10 participants
  • 2500 ISK per person for groups over 10 participants
  • Maximum group size is 35 persons

PROFESSIONAL GUIDED TOUR
For the technical enthusiasts who want to learn about all the details – the acoustical adjustment possibilities, the various technical equipment and solutions, the complexed engineering behind the glass facade and the challenge presented by the building of Harpa. Learn about the history of the building, the competition held regarding its design and the building process.

  • Language: Icelandic or English,
  • Length: Approx 60 – 90 minutes (or length upon request)
  • Price: 60.000 ISK fixed price for a group up to 20 participants
  • 3.300 ISK per person for groups over 20 participants
  • Maximum group size is 35 persons

Disabled access
The Harpa guided tour is fully accessible for wheelchair users and customers with mobility issues. In addition, if requested in advance, we are able to provide a wheelchair service for any customers who wish to use it.
