Dark Music Days 2019: Myrkrabörn (children’s concert)

Myrkrabörn is a children’s concert for curious music listener in all ages.

Guðrún Hrund Harðardóttir, viola, and Tinna Þorsteinsdóttir, piano, invite children and adults to come and experience an exciting concert where everything can happen. New works will be premiered, the audience will hear strange sounds, ugly sounds as well as beautiful tones that can make the listener either happy or sad. On the program, there is music written by women and by men, by established composers and by girls and boys from the elementary school Vesturbæjarskóli in Reykjavík. The children and their music teacher Vignir Rafn Hilmarsson who work with Tinna and Guðrún a few times prior to the concert also help to decide on the final program of the concert.

The program includes works by Karólína Eiríksdóttir, Gunnar Andreas Kristinsson, John Cage and kids from the elementary school Vesturbæjarskóli in Reykjavík.

Length of event is approx. 45 minutes.
